The realization of the main objective of the project, which is a systematic study of the issues related to mobile learning and mobile access to library services and resources, both in Bulgaria and in other European countries, will lead to new scientific knowledge and products, united and presented in a common information web portal, which will reveal and summarize the positive changes that information technologies are causing in today’s society with regard to new opportunities for access to education and information, through the active role of digital mobile libraries, which in turn will increase interest and distribution of these forms of information in the educational, scientific and cultural sphere in the Republic of Bulgaria.
Conducting scientific researches on the project will lead to the acquisition of new theoretical knowledge, applied scientific results and new educational content, that will be objectified in:
- thematic information portal containing the following information bases:
- Information database: Mobile digital libraries;
- Information database: Projects and initiatives in the field of mobile learning;
- Information database: Institutions – leaders in the field of mobile libraries and learning;
- Information database: Scientific forums related to mobile digital libraries and mobile learning;
- Information database: Regulatory documents in the field.
- 1 monograph;

Promoting mobile forms of education and information among the library community, in the educational community, and not least among the political and business elites in the country, will catalyse the wider application of the latest advances in information technologies in the country’s research, education and information field. Mobile access to digital collections of cultural institutions in the country will be recognized as a modern approach to the socialization of the Bulgarian literary cultural heritage, to stimulate research in the field and to preserve the cultural identity of society.
The information portal created in the implementation of the project will enable disadvantaged people to have equal and unhindered access to information, knowledge, library services, and cultural heritage objects.
The accumulated new knowledge in the implementation of the project will also be a good basis for future scientific researches in the field of public sciences and humanities.
